We used Tippl this past season with our driver and guide team at Kelowna Concierge, and overall it was a great addition to our operations. The platform made it easy for guests to leave tips digitally, which is something we were hearing more and more requests for, especially from international travelers who often don’t carry cash. Tried this as a way of paying a tip to a guide. Was very quick and easy. Only thing that would have made it simpler was if I could have used Apple Pay. Definitely worth asking guides if they use this!

What is tippl?

 

tippl is a simple and secure way of paying tips without cash in Canada. To pay a tip, just enter the code of the person you want to tip into the form above, or follow a tippl QR code.

A staff ID card with a tippl QR code; when the user scans the QR code they are taken to a payment page where they can pay the staff member a cashless tip

You can find their code in various places depending on their line of work. If you can't find it, just ask them for it!
