Our mission: to help happy customers pay tips to great staff
We want to make paying a tip by credit card to hospitality staff, guides or instructors as convenient, simple and enjoyable as it used to be with cash.
Our story
It's 2023 and we can't pay tips to our ski instructors because we aren't carrying cash. In cafés and restaurants payment terminals are bullying us into adding a gratuity, yet after a ski lesson we find it impossible to pay a tip by card. We couldn't believe there wasn't a simple solution out there. Naïvely we decided to stop complaining and solve the problem ourselves.
Along the way we have expanded into providing authentic customer reviews. We found that customers wanted to leave a note with their tips or to say thank you to their host. We realised that unlike conventional reviews on Google or TripAdvisor the comments left through tippl are much harder for companies to fake and give genuine insight into customer experiences.
Our values
tippl is our opportunity to do business the way we wish others did. We don't track you or sell your data so there are no annoying cookie warnings. We don't pressure you into signing up for the sake of it, or send you endless marketing emails. We focus on giving you a simple, efficient service whether you are paying a tip or receiving one.
